We are looking for an experienced Shop Foreperson to lead day-to-day maintenance operations for on-highway trucks, asphalt, and heavy construction equipment.

This role is ideal for a hands-on maintenance leader who takes pride in coaching technicians, solving complex mechanical problems, and keeping equipment safe, reliable, and ready for the job.

What You'll Do



* Lead shop activities during regular maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance work.


* Schedule, assign, and support technicians to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.


* Maintain work orders and direct report timesheets daily.


* Assist with dispatching low-boy drivers and coordinate equipment moves as needed.


* Plan work procedures, identify repair solutions, and recommend part redesigns, substitutions, or rearrangements when needed.


* Manage repair parts, preventative maintenance materials, inventory, and shop organization.


* Maintain accurate records for labor, equipment time, parts usage, inventory control, and repair activity.


* Coordinate with managers, operations teams, and maintenance staff to support efficient equipment availability.


* Help maintain clean, organized, and safe shop and maintenance areas.


* Perform other duties as assigned by the Equipment Manager.

What We are Looking For



* Extensive experience maintaining and repairing trucks, diesel engines, heavy equipment, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.


* Proven ability to lead, schedule, coach, and support mechanics or maintenance technicians.


* Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose mechanical issues and determine effective repair solutions.
