Purpose Under general direction, the Library Manager oversees the daily operation of a library and coordinates services with the other libraries in the Worthington Libraries system.

Essential Position Functions Oversees the daily operation of a library locationSupervisory dutiesWorks closely with managers and librarians to coordinate circulation, programming and collection development functionsCoordinates with library managers at all library locations to implement services and plan programsParticipates in the development and administration of the annual budget for a libraryEnsures ongoing collection maintenance of print, audio-visual, and electronic resourcesEstablishes and maintains effective relationships with the communityParticipates in long range planningEvaluates building and equipment maintenance and repair needs and works with Facilities staff to address themEnsures effective exchange of communication among departments and between librariesPerforms duties of Circulation Manager and Lead Librarian, as needed
