Job Purpose: The Banquet Server is the embodiment of hospitality at special events, delivering polished, intuitive service that transforms gatherings into unforgettable experiences.

With precision, grace, and an unwavering guest-first focus, the Banquet Server ensures every moment--from hors d'oeuvres to final toast--is executed with seamless professionalism and genuine warmth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare banquet rooms according to detailed event specifications, ensuring flawless table setups, buffet presentations, and décor alignment.

Greet and interact with guests warmly and attentively, anticipating needs and exceeding expectations.

Serve food and beverages with precision and professionalism, following event timelines and service standards.

Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of the event space throughout service.

Clear plates, glassware, and utensils efficiently, resetting service areas discreetly and swiftly.

Collaborate closely with fellow servers, bartenders, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth event flow.

Assist with event breakdown and proper storage of banquet supplies.

Handle guest inquiries or concerns with discretion and service recovery techniques.

Embody Main Street Hospitality's commitment to creating meaningful guest experiences.

Perform any additional relevant tasks requested by management.

Education & Experience: Previous banquet or upscale restaurant service experience.

Knowledge of proper dining etiquette and service sequences.

Strong communication, multitasking, and guest engagement skills.

Ability to carry large trays and manage multiple service courses with poise.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.

Comfortable setting up, moving, and breaking down heavy furniture and equipment.

Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, including dining rooms, patios, and event spaces.

Must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks as required by daily operations.

Ability to maintain composure and energy during long shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as business levels demand.

Capable of using and operating standard food and beverage equipment and point-of-sale systems.
