Staff Electrical Engineer

Job Summary:

The Staff Electrical Engineer is a senior technical contributor within SlingWorks, one of Elbit America's most advanced engineering teams developing next ‑ generation targeting and mission ‑ system technologies.

In this role, you will lead complex board ‑ level electrical designs, contribute to system architecture decisions, and drive subsystem ‑ level electrical integration while remaining hands ‑ on throughout the full hardware lifecycle.

You will solve challenging engineering problems, guide the development of advanced PCBAs, integrate processors, sensors, and high ‑ speed interfaces, and collaborate closely with other senior engineers to co ‑ develop robust, high ‑ reliability electrical architectures.

You will mentor junior engineers, lead design execution on major programs, and ensure the delivery of high ‑ quality, mission ‑ critical hardware.

What You'll Be Doing:


* Lead the design and development of complex electrical and board ‑ level hardware, including schematic capture, component selection, and interface definition


* Contribute to electrical architecture decisions across digital, analog, mixed ‑ signal, and power domains


* Integrate processors, sensors, high ‑ speed digital interfaces, and support electronics at the subsystem level


* Support and help define FPGA electrical integration strategies (no RTL required)


* Direct PCB layout activities to ensure signal integrity, EMC/EMI robustness, manufacturability, and compliance


* Lead board bring ‑ up, electrical debug, validation, and root ‑ cause analysis in lab environments


* Develop and implement test plans, validation strategies, and debug methodologies for program hardware


* Drive resolution of electrical issues across prototype and low ‑ rate production builds


* Lead electrical design for SWaP ‑ constrained systems, including power distribution, power integrity, efficiency, and thermal considerations


* Collaborate closely with mechanical, systems, and embedded software teams to ensure effective system ‑ level integration


* Participate in architecture reviews, technical trade studies, and design reviews


* Support DFM/DFT approaches and help transition designs from prototype to manufacturing


* Perform and interpret electrical analysis, modeling, and simulation to reduce technical risk


* Provide mentoring, technical guidance, and constructive design reviews for junior and mid ‑ level engineers


* Work collaboratively with other Staff and Senior Staff engineers to ensure cohesive system ‑ level solutions
