Human Resource Generalist

The HR Generalist provides day-to-day human resources support for our non-exempt manufacturing operations employees, with a strong focus on hourly workforce needs.

This role is responsible for delivering efficient, hands-on HR service to employees and front-line leaders while supporting programs that strengthen employee engagement, culture, and compliance within our regulated medical device environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Serve as the primary HR contact for hourly employees and production group leaders addressing questions related to policies, attendance, performance, and general HR processes.Serves as the primary liaison between hiring manager and the recruiter for hourly manufacturing roles, ensuring timely communication regarding open positions.

Supports onboarding for all hourly manufacturing new hires.Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.Partner with operations leadership to address employee relations issues promptly and consistently with support from the HR Business Partner.Support the administration of leaves of absence, accommodations, and worker's compensation processes.Support timekeeping, payroll preparation, attendance tracking, and corrective action documentation as needed.Coordinate and participate in employee engagement initiatives, culture-building activities, and recognition programs.Coordinate and manage wellness initiatives and events.Assist in maintaining compliance with employment law, HR policies, training requirements, and audit needs.Support HR metrics tracking (turnover, staffing levels, onboarding effectiveness) and identify trends to improve operational HR support.

Required Skills & Education: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, with three or more years of progressive HR experience, preferably supporting an hourly manufacturing workforce.Must have working knowledge of employment laws and experience with employee relations, leave administration, accommodations, workers' compensation, timekeeping, and HR systems.Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, organization, confidentiality, and judgment.Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.May from time-to-time require working hours outside of standard day shift.
