Building Automation Service Specialist

Schneider Electric is looking for an experienced Building Automation Specialist for the Raleigh, NC area.

This position is responsible for servicing complex system issues on time and to the customer's satisfaction.

These specialists will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing customer systems, performing scheduled maintenance, and performing warranty work.

Responsible for analyzing customer needs and making suggestions regarding expanded product offerings to existing customers.

Skills & Abilities


* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software issues on installed Building Automation and Energy Management Systems.


* Perform software preventative maintenance on installed Building Automation and Energy Management Systems, including implementing software patches and updating antivirus solutions.


* Code software using multiple languages in multiple environments as appropriate.


* Adhere to high-quality coding and testing practices.


* Suggest system improvements and modifications.


* Assist with commissioning and startup of new Building Automation and Energy Management Systems to ensure proper operation.


* Streamline and develop software code, graphics, and drivers for graphic front-end and human-machine interface applications.


* Function independently with minimal supervision to complete all job tasks.


* Support third-party commissioning agents in the commissioning process and lead communication of deficiencies to the project team.


* Support network troubleshooting and analysis by running packet captures for software engineers and product support teams to use for troubleshooting.


* Initiate, manage, and communicate status updates for all field-related product support cases.


* Support the Project Manager in scheduling, prioritization, and identifying obstacles for startup tasks.


* Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on installed customer Control Systems.


* Control commissioning and startup of new Control Systems to ensure proper operation.


* Diagnoses, troubleshoot, and repair Control Systems wiring, hardware, and software.


* Recognize communication problems with control devices and other components.


* Create, load, test, and tune system databases.


* Install, replace, and recommission Control Systems devices, equipment, and software.


* Coordinate activities of subcontractors as required.


* Provide on-site training to customers as needed.


* Provide emergency and warranty services as required.


* Create and maintain test records and as-built documentation.


* Conform to project site safety and housekeeping requirements.
