Senior Principal, Solution Architect - Thermal system

Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced Thermal System Solution Architect to define and advance end-to-end thermal architectures for high-density AI factories and data centers.

This role translates compute roadmaps, deployment constraints, sustainability objectives and customer operating models into scalable, resilient and efficient cooling solutions, spanning chip and rack heat capture through facility heat transport, heat rejection and heat reuse.

Candidate profile
This senior technical leadership role requires an innovative, structured and autonomous systems thinker who combines deep thermal engineering expertise with customer-facing architecture experience and the ability to shape future solutions across organizational boundaries.

Required experience and capabilities


* 8+ years of experience in data center thermal infrastructure, critical facilities, HVAC, liquid cooling, mechanical systems engineering, system development or solution architecture.


* 5+ years in customer-facing technical roles, including architecture workshops, design reviews or technical decision forums.


* Experience developing data center architectures or reference designs and leading multidisciplinary technical workstreams.


* Strong knowledge of liquid-cooling systems and integration across server, rack, cooling and facility infrastructure.


* Ability to model systems, evaluate trade-offs, define requirements and interfaces, and guide verification and validation.


* Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, project leadership and communication skills.


* Ability to collaborate effectively across cultures, functions and management levels.

Education and preferred qualifications


* Master's degree in Mechanical, Thermal, Energy, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

Equivalent advanced experience may be considered.


* System architecture certification or demonstrated methodology experience.

SESAM Level 1 or 2 preferred for internal candidates.


* Experience with data center standards, thermal simulation, controls, water systems, reliability or sustainability preferred.
