Position Overview

This skilled position as a Project Engineer Intern involves the assisting and management as directed by Estimator/Project Managers and/or Supervisors in Yellowstone National Park.

*The position will require the applicant to live within the boundaries of Yellowstone National Park at a remote site to assist the management team in delivering a quality product to the client.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)



* Actively participate in acquisition and maintenance of permits, City, Vehicle, SWPPP, etc.


* Assist in daily production data entry and maintain projects schedules.


* Add Phases at the request of the Superintendents.

Distribute project documents to field.


* Attend pre-construction, project hand-off, cost reviews, and project job progress meetings


* Verify aggregate pricing, quantity, and coding daily


* Process change orders and T&M work tickets as needed by the Project Managers


* Assist with purchase orders, submittals, and project supplier quotes


* Assist estimating team with RFI logs, change orders, and submittals


* Adhere to and be a champion for company safety programs.


* Ensure compliance with all company and governmental regulations.


* Provide training certifications to customers as requested

Additional Responsibilities (As Needed & Directed by Operations Manager)



* Estimate and manage projects assigned by the Operations or Estimating Manager.


* Attend weekly partnering meetings.


* Maintain estimating bidding log and pipeline


* Perform other duties as assigned by Operations, Estimating and/or General Manager.

Education/Experience

Enrolled in a program for a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or other related field.

0 - 5 years construction experience is preferred with; or an equivalent of education and experience will be accepted
