What You'll Do

As a COTA, you will play an important role in helping residents achieve greater independence and participate in the activities that are meaningful to them.

Your responsibilities will include:


* Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.


* Assist residents in improving activities of daily living, functional skills, mobility, and independence .


* Implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet each resident's goals and needs.


* Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques and strategies.


* Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.


* Monitor resident progress and communicate observations and concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.


* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.


* Provide compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care.

Qualifications


* Current California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license/certification .


* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


* Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.


* Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to resident care.


* Commitment to helping residents achieve their highest practical level of function and independence.
