Stock Manager

We are looking for a dedicated and highly organised Stock Manager to lead our stock operations and support the success of our boutique.

This role is key to ensuring accurate inventory management, maintaining the highest standards across all storage areas, and providing seamless operational support to the sales team.

As a leader and ambassador of the House, you will develop and motivate the stock team while contributing to the profitability of the business and delivering the exceptional level of service for which Hermès is renowned

Key responsibilities

Management and Coordination

Team Management


* Manage, organise and prioritise day-to-day activities according to the needs of the business


* Set quantitative and qualitative objectives for the store stock results


* Train / coach the store team to develop their autonomy, their knowledge of their job and soft and behavioural skills

Transversal management


* Work in constant collaboration and cooperation with the store management team: Store Manager and Department Managers (eg: stock controls and stock take results, improvement / adjustments of storage organisation and practices, floor storage replenishment etc.), Sales & Service Support (eg: receiving of repaired items and customer orders, rotas).


* Liase with Head Office: be the entry point at store level for all matters related to the stock (Warehouse, Retail Operations, Internal Control, Retail Merchandising)


* Contribute actively to team meetings organised by the Store Manager and morning briefs: report on operational issues and stock related KPIs, assign corrective actions to store team members.


* Support the sales team by providing information on stock availability, deliveries and transfers.


* Liaise and build relationships with key external service providers (eg.

DHL, FedEx).

Stock Operations Management and Control
Day-to-day operations and controls for perfect stock accuracy


* Ensure all stock and stock management systems are managed and maintained accurately, within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner.

This includes accurately processing deliveries, claims, returns, transfers, special movements, damaged items, stolen items and loan items using correct systems and following the policies and procedures.

Ensure Store Manager's approval is obtained where required.


* Follow-up and correct negative stocks daily, with the help of Sales & Service Support and Sales teams.


* Monitor and organise/perform the cancellation and re-integration into available stock of expired customer reservations.


* Ensure that ticketing is accurate and regularly checked (through deliveries and cycle counts).

Manage defective/damaged goods


* Follow and maintain the process for management of defective/damaged goods.

Manage a defined area in the stockroom for these goods.
