Program Dates: January 11, 2027 - June 25, 2027

Principal Duties and Responsibilities


* Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of embedded systems focused on optical sensing technology.


* Contribute to system prototypes, integrating mechanical, electrical, and software components.


* Support hardware development for fiber optics-based systems, including PCB design and fabrication.


* Participate in experiments involving fiber optics, light-based sensors, and interferometry.


* Troubleshoot and optimize system performance in both optical and electrical systems.


* Document project work, including test plans, results, and technical reports.


* Present progress in design reviews to peers and leadership.


* Ensure project activities comply with company quality policies, regulatory standards, and design controls.

Job Qualifications


* Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Optical Engineering, or a related field.


* Interest in interdisciplinary work that combines electrical, mechanical, and software skills in embedded systems development.


* Exposure to fiber optics, light-based sensors, interferometry, or optical systems a plus
