What You'll Do
As a Welder I, you will TIG weld titanium castings inside a controlled chamber using an argon atmosphere.

You'll learn and follow established procedures to make precise repairs and help ensure aerospace components meet quality and specification requirements.

Responsibilities include:


* TIG weld titanium castings inside a chamber using an argon atmosphere.


* Perform casting repairs while following applicable welding procedures and specifications.


* Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, profile templates, and other inspection equipment.


* Work with team members to understand rework requirements and repair castings to specification.


* Use a grinder to properly shape tungsten electrodes.


* Safely load and unload castings from the welding chamber.


* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.


* Follow all safety, quality, and production requirements.


* Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For
This position is specifically designed for individuals who are currently enrolled in, recently completed, or are graduating from a formal welding program.

Required qualifications:


* Current enrollment in or recent completion of a formal welding/vocational program.


* Ability to successfully complete a welding test within the first 6 weeks of employment.


* Ability to pass an annual eye examination.


* Basic high-school level math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.


* Ability to use small, precision tools.
