Job Description:

The Manufacturing Product Engineering Manager is responsible for leading a team of product engineers and manufacturing professionals to successfully introduce, manufacture, and sustain products throughout their lifecycle.

This role serves as the primary interface between R&D, New Product Introduction (NPI), Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Test Engineering, and external manufacturing partners to ensure successful product launches, operational excellence, superior quality, cost competitiveness, and continuous improvement.

The manager drives strategic and tactical execution across multiple product lines while developing organizational capability and delivering business performance objectives.

Key Responsibilities


* Lead and manage a team of product engineering and manufacturing professionals, typically overseeing 8-15 direct reports.


* Own product engineering activities across multiple product lines, ensuring achievement of key business metrics including quality, cost, delivery, inventory, yield, and customer satisfaction.


* Partner with R&D, NPI, Supply Chain, Quality, Reliability, Test Engineering, and factory operations teams to successfully transition products from development into high-volume manufacturing.


* Coordinate and lead internal and outsourced manufacturing partners throughout the entire product lifecycle, from New Product Introduction through end-of-life.


* Drive root cause analysis and resolution of product quality, reliability, yield, and manufacturing issues.


* Evaluate customer feedback, manufacturing data, test results, and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.


* Lead product sustainment initiatives, including cost reduction programs, yield improvement projects, and manufacturing process optimization.


* Represent product engineering and manufacturing operations in cross-functional business reviews, product escalations, and strategic planning discussions.
