Quality Assurance Inspector Position Summary Inspect, test, sort, sample, or weigh finished products for conformance to specifications requirements.

Essential Functions Analyzeand interpret data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment andcertification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required.Maintain and adjust the product printing devises.Collect orselect samples for testing or for use as models.

Grade, classify, and sort products according to sizes, weights, colors, or other specifications.Inspect,test, or measure finished products for conformance to specifications.Reject products not meeting specifications.Measuredimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.Comparecolors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or materials with color charts, templates, or samples to verify conformance to standards.Recordinspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, ormoisture content, and quantities inspected or graded.Computedefect percentages or averages, using formulas and calculators, and prepare reports of inspection or test findings.Analyzetest data and make computations as necessary to determine test results.Mark itemswith details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status.Assist production management in monitoring ongoing production.Notifysupervisors and other personnel of production problems, and assist in identifying and correcting these problems.Assist intraining of production operators with respect to quality parameters.Read dialsand meters to verify that testing equipment is functioning at specified levels.Clean,maintain, repair, and calibrate measuring instruments and test equipment such as dial indicators, fixed gauges, and height gauges.Stack andarrange tested products for further processing, shipping, or transport products to grinding stations as necessary.Keep immediate supervisor fully informed of issues or unusualmatters of significance.Comply with all company standards, rules and policies.Reliable attendance.Attend 1-2 Training Seminars per year.Other tasks as assigned.
