Inventory Compliance Specialist - Radford, VA

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 1.

Must have High School Diploma, GED or equivalent of five (5) years work experience in Inventory Control field.

2.

Be able to read, speak, and understand English.

3.

Possess strong understanding of and the ability to work in Microsoft Office software programs with proficiency in the use of Excel.

4.

Be able to be trained on the current Inventory Control software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules and assist in training all department staff.

5.

Yellow Belt Certification or must obtain within one year of position.

6.

Possess initiative and the ability to perform in an environment driven by deadlines, in a quality manner while handling several other key responsibilities.

7.

Supervise all immediate subordinates in performance of their assigned functions to ensure that plans and programs are carried out in accordance with corporate policy.

8.

Be able to effectively communicate/ coordinate with all departments.

9.

Be willing to attend the transportation certification course.

10.

Be able to work all overtime as required.

Late evening, weekend and last-minute overtime can be expected during and immediately following Fireworks season but not limited to the time period of May through August.

11.

Must learn the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (BATFE) compliance regulations related to Inventory and Record keeping Compliance 12.

Must learn the Department of Transportation (DoT) compliance regulation related to storage and identification of explosives 13.

Must learn all other regulatory requirements and compliances detailed through Inventory/Compliance Manager to ensure all facility inventory and storage is within compliance.

JOB DUTIES: 1.

Responsible with Materials Manager that all PbG locations successfully achieves full compliance per BATFE Regulations IAW Federal Explosives Law and Regulations, 5400.7.

2.

Compliance is met by performing the required responsibilities within this position along with the Materials Manager, per the regulations per 5400.7.

3.

Responsible to ensure all purchased products are verified, stored, and entered the Electronic Inventory System within the next business day of receipt.

4.

Responsible for completion of all PBG Radford Acquisitions for all products received from suppliers, the required documents to receive from another company, upload electronically and keep an organized hard copy for audits per receipt.

5.

Responsible all products are stored in the appropriate type magazines or other approved storage areas without exceeding maximum weight limits and not stored with incompatible materials.

6.

Responsible that all labeling requirements are met for identification of products and Hazard Division and Class (HOC).

7.

Responsible that all internal storage procedures are being followed by performing internal audits.

8.
