Specialist, Export Control and Sanctions Operations

Responsibilities

Deploy Export Control & Sanctions (EC&S) Due Diligence Measures


* Serve as a main contact for the EC&S cases.


* Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for all EC&S issues within the responsible SE entities / businesses, including conducting 4W reviews and regional escalations for all relevant transactions.


* Ensure compliance with all applicable EC&S laws, sanctions & regulations (national & international, when applicable) and SE EC&S Policy, Directives, and Procedures.

Identify and correct the gaps, as applicable.


* Report any non-compliance observations and incidents to the EC&S CoE Operations/Governance Manager and Business Owners.


* Support, drive and lead EC&S initiatives / activities for site or project as required including annual Key Internal Control (KIC) for EC&S CE.13 and acting as the EC&S contact for any Supply Chain Security programs (e.g C-TPAT, AEO) or with official authorities.


* Support SE Turkey Management EC&S related inquiries / investigations which can be initiated by Global EC&S CoE.

Monitor Transactions with Export Control & Sanctions (EC&S) Risk Identified Proactively


* Conduct EC&S (4Ws) reviews and escalate applicable transactions / projects for EC&S CoE's approval.


* Monitor transactions with EC&S risk identified proactively, by utilizing local / global IT system (e.g BFO, SAP, SAP GTS, Oracle etc) or reports generated from the systems.


* Coordinate with key stakeholders within the organizations, including Sales, Tender, Project Manager, Finance Controller, Legal etc., to mitigate the EC&S risk.


* Ensure local policy & procedures are implemented by conducting regular audits.

In the advent of a process breach, report the transaction to the EC&S CoE Operations Manager, respective stakeholders and ensure the transaction is on hold until all due diligence initiatives are completed and secured.


* Support in the implementation of local / global export control internal audit program, and the execution of any rectification actions.


* Report potential business risks to Regional EC&S Manager.

Optimize Export Control & Sanctions (EC&S) Operations Process Continuously


* In-depth understanding of the business process of the organizations and identify the key stakeholders within each organization to facilitate the implementation of EC&S compliance program.


* Understand and get access (if necessary) to the relevant IT tools / systems which are utilized in business operations and try to identify any opportunity to optimize the EC&S monitoring or due diligence in a more efficient way.


* Identify gaps in implementation of EC&S Policy and Directives, develop and implement mitigation and corrective actions.


* Document EC&S activities, maintaining proper record keeping of transactions, reviews, escalations & approval, training and incidents.


* Educate local teams on EC&S related matters.
