EV Business Planning Manager

SUMMARY

Maintains responsibility for executing Subaru's functional integration of electric vehicle (EV) business strategy by planning the business operations efforts that support a uniquely Subaru ownership experience.

Supports the business strategy for battery life cycle management and environmental regulatory compliance and ensures that end-producer responsibilities are executed at the highest level.

Guides leadership decisions with timely analysis based on an ever-changing regulatory environment.

For Alliance vehicles, also leads the internal collaboration necessary for executive decision making, driven by the alignment of all internal working groups involved with the development, business strategy, and launch, including working groups external to Subaru of America (SOA) (i.e., Toyota Motor North America [TMNA], Toyota Motor Manufacturing Kentucky [TMMK], Toyota Logistics Services [TLS]).

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES


* Maintains responsibility for re-evaluating and establishing standardized program management practices for the transition of vehicle powertrains from internal combustion engine (ICE) to hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) and battery electric vehicles (BEVs), including the coordination of the activities and communication of all working groups to ensure that the critical path toward completion is kept on track.

Identifies all significant milestones and leads the engagement of key stakeholders/decisionmakers that lead toward the operational implementation of those business strategies.


* Serves as the lead contact and coordinator of all Alliance vehicle launch preparation and ongoing support with working group counterparts for Subaru Corporation (SBR), Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC), and Toyota Motor North America (TMNA), as well as Subaru of America (SOA) working groups consisting of, but not limited to, the following: Vehicle Ordering, Logistics, Product Management, Accessories, Service Parts, Accounting/Finance, Quality/Warranty, and more.


* Serves as the business operations lead for battery life cycle management strategy, including development of a closed-loop process for post-vehicle-use batteries.

Partners with SBR and internal stakeholders to evaluate and implement solutions for recycling, disposal, and alternative second-life applications.


* Supports key organizational initiatives, offering strategic input and guidance on prioritization, contingency planning, and corrective actions when needed.

Escalates to projects as needed to SOA and SBR leadership teams.

Current areas of focus include environmental regulatory processes, end-producer responsibilities, and the G1 project on predictive maintenance and preventative repair.


* Analyzes and interprets large amounts of quantitative and qualitative data to assemble a clear picture of EV market conditions for executive management.
