The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of Customer Service functions including, but not limited to, the following:


* Take and fulfill customer orders for aggregates and asphalt including product delivery instructions


* Input orders into our point-of-sale system


* Make sure the product that the customer is ordering is correct for that job or project.

Contact the QC or sales department if a different product is requested


* Collaborate with operations/haulers to coordinate delivery from the best location


* Call customers in advance of late deliveries or delays in service


* Proactively reach out to customers on new secured projects


* Keep the Customer Service/Dispatch Manager and sales department informed of problems or concerns throughout the day that may require their knowledge or attention


* Communicate directly with the Sales regarding scheduling


* Other duties as assigned

Requirements


* Candidate must be energetic and customer friendly with the ability to work in a fast paced team atmosphere that focuses around the customer in the aggregates, asphalt & construction industry.


* Basic computer skills


* Strong attention to detail


* Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision


* Demonstrate a willingness to work overtime


* Demonstrates ability to work and communicate well with Supervisors, Dispatchers, Drivers and other employees


* Demonstrate the ability to conform to and maintain MSHA, OSHA, DOT and all other company or governmental state rules and regulations.


* Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required


* Occasional regional travel


* Ability to complete and pass pre-employment screenings

Education/Experience


* Aggregate and asphalt experience preferred but will train the right candidate


* High school graduate or equivalent


* Experience with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel is preferred


* This position offers a rate of $26-$27 hourly
