voco Gold Coast is looking for a Part-Time Commis Chef to join our talented Kitchen team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who loves working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in what they create and wants to develop their skills alongside an experienced team.

A little taste of your day-to-day

As our Commis Chef, you’ll support the Kitchen team across daily food preparation and service, helping us deliver consistently great dining experiences for our guests.

You’ll be responsible for:


* Preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard


* Supporting the kitchen team across preparation and service


* Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work environment


* Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures


* Assisting with stock rotation, storage and minimising food waste


* Working collaboratively with chefs and the wider Food & Beverage team


* Bringing a positive attitude and willingness to learn every shift

What we’re looking for

You’ll be someone who:


* Has previous experience in a commercial kitchen, ideally within a hotel or similar environment


* Has a genuine passion for food and hospitality


* Works well as part of a busy, supportive team


* Has strong attention to detail and takes pride in their work


* Is reliable, organised and able to work under pressure


* Has flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays


* Holds relevant cookery qualifications
