What We're Looking For:
Michael Baker International is seeking a talented Drainage/Stormwater Engineer to join our busy Columbia, SC office.
What You'll Do:
* Prepare construction plans and specifications
* Stormwater design for projects including both bid-build and design-build projects
* Assist in all aspects of roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system analysis, and sediment and erosion control design
* Perform hydrologic & hydraulic studies using software such as GEOPAK Drainage, HY-8, and HEC-RAS
* Prepare cost-estimates and technical reports
* Coordinate permitting efforts with various stormwater agencies
* Train/mentor junior engineers and technicians
What You Need to Succeed:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field
* 15+ years of experience in stormwater design/analysis
* Professional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina, OR eligibility to obtain license within 6-12 months
* Experience with MicroStation and GEOPAK Drainage
* Experience with ArcGIS
* SCDOT experience
* Experience with HEC-RAS, SMS, SRH-2D, and SWMM
* Experience with OpenRoads Designer
Compensation:
The approximate compensation range for this position is $120k - $180k per year.
This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting.
Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
