Application Engineer Co-Op, Building Automation

Become a member of the Digital Energy Software Technology Office as an Application Engineer in the Solutions Lab.

As an Application Engineer you will be exposed to solutions that will incorporate various products from Schneider Digital Energy, along with alliance partners and as well integrations with third party products.

You will listen to the voice of the customers, understand their pain points and help to develop solutions to meet the needs of the client.

Also, working with the Segment Teams (Healthcare, Life Science, Commercial Real Estate, University & K-12, etc.) you will help develop proof of concepts in various markets to support the needs of the clients.

As an Application Engineer you will gain exposure to many Schneider products from various Lines of Business that can be used to solve problems for your clients.

Sharing how Schneider can help the clients be more sustainable, reduce their impact on the world by reducing energy consumption, minimizing carbon footprint and helping to find ways to improve the world we live in.

Duration: 6 months, January 2027-July 2027

What will you do:


* Analyze Customer Solutions Architecture and existing products to make sure solution is pragmatic and realizable.


* Develop and validate proposed solutions for Solution Lab.


* Contribute and review documentation for TVDA/Solution/Integration Guides.


* Help provide plans for a Train the Trainer on solutions and execute it.


* Get familiar with Schneider Electric Lines of Business current solutions.


* Gain knowledge of industry trends and solutions.


* Help maintain, modify and build solutions installations for demonstration purposes within the CTO Lab.


* Provide demonstrations of the solutions within the lab to visiting customers.


* Work alongside and support experienced engineers in a lab setting.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Basic Qualifications:


* Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or other related field.


* Strong presentation and communication skills and ability to demonstrate solutions in a lab environment.


* Strong development, analytical, troubleshooting, and project management skills.


* Knowledge of or interest in alternative energy sources, such as wind, solar, and others as well as power metering, demand response, energy usage.


* Currently located and able to work in greater Andover, MA area.


* All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:


* Experience with Intelligent Building Management Systems (BMS), preferred open protocols.


* Experience in applying solutions in buildings to solve customer problems.


* Experience in networking, and IT ports & protocols; HTTP, HTTPS, SSL strongly desired.
