SCADA Technical Sales Consultant

What will you do?

As a SCADA Technical Sales Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers looking to modernize and optimize their operations through automation, remote monitoring, and digital technologies.

Working closely with channel partners, sales teams, and internal stakeholders, you will support solution development, customer engagement, and business growth.

In this role, you will:



* Consult with customers to understand their operational, technical, and business needs.


* Design and recommend solutions leveraging SCADA software, RTUs, industrial communications, and connected technologies.


* Deliver compelling product demonstrations, workshops, and technical presentations.


* Support RFIs, RFPs, specification development, and solution proposals.


* Provide guidance on system architecture, cybersecurity considerations, integration, and communications protocols.


* Enable channel partners and sales teams through technical training and solution support.


* Represent Schneider Electric at customer events, webinars, and industry conferences.

What qualifications will make you successful?

Required Qualifications



* Degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.


* Experience in technical sales, sales engineering, application engineering, or industrial automation.


* Experience with SCADA, RTU, PLC, or related automation technologies.


* Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills.


* Knowledge of industrial communications protocols such as MQTT, OPC UA, Modbus, DNP3, or EtherNet/IP.


* Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.


* Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% within Canada and occasionally internationally.

Preferred Qualifications



* SCADA software expertise.


* RTU or PLC integration experience.


* Experience with IIoT, cloud-based architectures, and data management platforms.


* Knowledge of OT cybersecurity, Active Directory, or Microsoft Entra ID.


* Linux and Python experience.


* Experience supporting customers in energy, water/wastewater, or industrial markets.
