JOB DESCRIPTION Utilizes a variety of skills and basic knowledge to perform maintenance, repair, or replacement activities as needed on all AAATA facilities (and their appurtenances) including buildings, offices, shelters, stops, signs, fences, gates, lawns, parking lots, sidewalks, etc.

Works cooperatively with AAATA hourly, management employees, and contractors to ensure that the quality, timeliness, and quantity of facility maintenance efforts are acceptable.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains floors, parking lots, curbs, sidewalks and other paved or graveled areas by power and/or hand scrubbing, sweeping and vacuuming.

Cleans and maintains storage cabinets, windows, doors, guard rails, and other fixtures.

Empties trash dumpsters, recycle containers and scrap bins.

Maintains hydraulic hoists, hoist controls, pumps and plumbing by performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and keeping accurate records.

Performs maintenance and keeps records on fire prevention system (smoke alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, hoses, etc.).

Supervises preventative maintenance by subcontractors.

Assists with annual fire alarm and riser.

Performs preventative maintenance and supervision and support for contaminated waste processing, storage, removal and disposal.

Cleans all primary and secondary waste containers at all AAATA facilities.

Maintains the fleet fueling system(s) using preventative maintenance, record keeping, repairing or supervising the repair of fuel system meters, hoses, nozzles, underground tanks, valves, filters, pipes, pumps, etc.

Maintains water and sewer systems (plumbing, bathrooms, drains, meters, sinks, softeners, disposal and trench drains, bus washers, filters, sumps, etc.).

Keeps records on repairs, cleaning, painting and ordering spare parts.

Coordinates the repair of time devices, including master clock, time clocks, time stamps, and regular wall clocks.
