Plant Maintenance Technician - Fort Miller Precast Fort Miller Precast has a full time opportunity in our Plant and Equipment Maintenance Department.

The Plant Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing highly diversified duties which include installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining production and facility equipment in accordance with proper safety procedures and industry best practices.

Our team of Maintenance Technicians provide critical support of production schedules insuring that customer delivery commitments and production goals are met.

Your role as a Plant Maintenance Technician: Proficiency with mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including the ability to troubleshoot and/or assist in repair of such systems.Solid understanding of electrical and circuit theory, including 3-phase power and AC & DC motors, controls and circuit and the ability to install and/or assist in repair of electrical systems.Provide critical support of production schedules insuring that customer delivery commitments and production goals are met.

What we are looking for: Ability to read and interpret architectural and mechanical prints as well as complex schematics for electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation and control logic schematics, desired.The ability to perform basic plant maintenance functions, such as electrical, plumbing and carpentry.Understanding of industrial rigging procedures, crane signals and proper use of overhead cranes and hoist equipment.Perform heavy physical labor.Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.Ability to withstand exposure to extreme temperatures; visual acuity at short and long distances as well as good peripheral vision and depth perception; lift and carry weights of up to 50 lbs., access equipment at various levels (silos, aggregate hoppers, etc.); push, pull, stand and bend over for extended periods of time.
