Prep Cook-Dishwasher

WHO YOU ARE:

We are seeking a team-oriented Prep Cook/Dishwasher to support the daily operations of our corporate office kitchen.

This full-time position offers daytime hours and comes with a benefits package, including health benefits.

The ideal candidate will have some previous kitchen experience and a strong commitment to cleanliness, food safety, and customer service.

This role will support dishwashing, morning and lunch services, cashier duties, etc.

The responsibilities are, but are not limited to:


* Wash and properly store dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and other items throughout the day.


* Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and service area.


* Support morning service, including preparing and serving coffee, beverages, and other breakfast items.


* Assist with basic food preparation, such as washing, cutting, portioning, and organizing ingredients and food items.


* Operate the cash system and process employee transactions accurately and efficiently.


* Assist with setting up and maintaining the kitchen and service areas before, during, and after meal service.


* Replenish food, beverages, and supplies as needed throughout the day.


* Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.


* Regularly check the condition of kitchen equipment and report any maintenance or safety concerns.


* Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient daily service.


* Other tasks as required.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:


* Previous experience working in a kitchen, food service, cafeteria, or similar environment.


* Basic knowledge of kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.


* Comfortable performing dishwashing and general kitchen cleaning duties.


* Ability to communicate in French and English.


* Ability to operate a POS system and handle transactions accurately.


* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and organization.


* Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.


* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


* Positive attitude and a strong customer service mindset.


* Willing to work in office 5 days per week at Ardene's Head Office in Laval from 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
