The Opportunity

As a Mason at Waldmann Construction, you will bring custom residential plans to life through high-quality structural and decorative masonry.

You will play a pivotal role in laying foundations, building CMU structures, and setting up precise site layouts for high-end home builds.

This position provides an opportunity to showcase your skilled craftsmanship within a collaborative, supportive team with strong Wisconsin roots.

How You Will Make an Impact


* Execute precise site layouts for footings, structural walls, and decorative CMUs directly from architectural plans.


* Build structural and decorative masonry elements including fireplaces, CMU walls, and custom stone features.


* Set up, pour, and hand finish concrete to verified elevations while strictly checking for level.


* Operate site transits, erect scaffolding safely, and ensure full job site efficiency and safety.


* Communicate effectively with crew members and project managers to streamline daily operations and materials.


* Track project completion timelines and verify accurate job site deliveries to meet benchmarks.

Required Qualifications & Experience


* Minimum of 2 to 5 years of hands-on masonry experience in residential or light commercial construction.


* Demonstrated proficiency with CMUs, concrete mixes, ad-mixes, brick, and natural stone installations.


* Proven ability to confidently read building plans and set up complex layouts from footings to finish.


* Extensive knowledge of proper concrete accessories, including trench drains, expansion joints, and sealers.


* Valid driver's license and the physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly in varying site conditions.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience


* High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.


* Certification as a competent person for safety-compliant scaffold erection and tear-down.


* Knowledge of natural stone veneer installation and custom residential concrete finishing techniques.
