Medical Assistant (MA)

The Medical Assistant provides both clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers in the outpatient clinic setting.

This role assists with patient care activities, supports efficient clinic operations, and helps ensure patients receive high-quality, compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities: Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including obtaining vital signs and medical histories Assist providers during patient examinations and minor procedures Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider Perform basic clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, and point-of-care testing Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record Schedule appointments and assist with patient check-in and check-out processes as needed Provide patient education regarding medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care Maintain exam rooms, medical equipment, and supplies Ensure compliance with infection prevention and patient safety protocols Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Support efficient clinic workflow and patient flow Collaborate with providers, nurses, and administrative staff to support quality patient care Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred Licensure/Certifications: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or equivalent certification preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Experience: One (1) year of medical assisting experience preferred.

Experience in physician office or outpatient clinic settings preferred.

Knowledge of electronic health records and clinical workflows.
