Facilities Specialist I

About the Role: The Facilities Specialist I is a hands-on position that directs care and maintenance activities for Bay Federals facilities by participating in, analyzing, planning, organizing, and managing functions related to building maintenance, equipment maintenance, space planning, fixed assets, and safety/security.

The role also supports routine and preventative maintenance, vendor coordination, facility projects, emergency response, and the overall safety and appearance of Credit Union locations.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: Typically MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM, with flexibility required for occasional after-hours or weekend projects and facility needs.

What youll be doing: Promote and maintain a positive image of Bay Federal while providing responsive, professional service to employees, members, vendors, and the communityPerform routine and preventative building maintenance and troubleshoot facility issues across Bay Federal locationsMaintain safe, clean, organized, and secure facilities, including supporting cameras, alarms, badge access, and workplace safety systemsManage facilities support tickets and respond to maintenance needs, including emergency repairs and after-hours projects as neededCoordinate vendors, work orders, purchasing, and facility services, ensuring projects and repairs are completed successfullyAssist with space planning, employee moves, equipment installations, branch improvements, and other facilities projectsSupport vendor selection and contract management, including obtaining bids and verifying required vendor documentationProcess vendor invoices and support purchasing and expense reconciliation activities Youre Perfect For This Role If You Have: General building maintenance and repair experience with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsKnowledge of preventative maintenance and building utility systemsExperience coordinating vendors, work orders, and multiple facilities-related prioritiesA safety-first mindset with strong organization and attention to detailStrong customer service and communication skills with a professional, team-oriented approachAbility to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and take initiativeA valid California drivers license, reliable transportation, and flexibility for occasional after-hours projectsFacilities experience is preferred; multi-site facilities or trade/technical experience is a plus Who We Are: Bay Federal Credit Union was started in 1957 when local school teachers pooled their money together to start a credit union.
