Data and Analytics Intern

Job Description The Data & Analytics Intern will participate in a supervised internship experience within a behavioral health nonprofit organization.

Working alongside the Data Team and Director of IT Infrastructure, the intern will gain exposure to data analytics, reporting, quality improvement, and technology systems that support services for children, youth, and families across Tennessee.

The internship is designed to provide hands-on learning opportunities through participation in real-world data projects and organizational initiatives.

Responsibilities 1.

Data & Reporting Support Assist with data validation and quality review activities Support the development and maintenance of reports and dashboards Help compile data for quality improvement, outcome measurement, and organizational reporting Assist with documenting reporting processes and data definitions 2.

Analytics & Research Assist with basic data analysis and trend identification under supervision Support projects related to outcomes, performance measures, and program evaluation Help prepare data summaries and visualizations for leadership and program teams Participate in discussions related to reporting needs and data-informed decision making 3.

Technology & Systems Exposure Learn about organizational data systems, reporting tools, and technology infrastructure Assist with testing reports, dashboards, or system enhancements as assigned Support documentation of workflows and technology-related projects Collaborate with Data and IT staff on assigned initiatives Opportunities Exposure to behavioral health, nonprofit operations, data analytics, and information technology Experience working with organizational and program performance data Mentoring from TN Voices Data and IT leadership Participation in team meetings and cross-functional projects Hands-on experience applying academic learning to real-world challenges Opportunities to contribute to data-driven initiatives that support community impact Qualifications Current student or recent graduate interested in data analytics, information systems, public health, technology, research, or a related field Interest in data, reporting, analytics, or technology Professional, respectful, and eager to learn Strong attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow organizational policies Applicable background screenings Important Note This internship is a supervised educational experience averaging approximately 5-10 hours per week.

The intern will assist with project-based learning activities under the guidance of TN Voices staff and will not replace paid staff or perform independent clinical or patient care functions.
