Rail Operations Generalist

*Seeking an Energetic Rail Operations Generalist

* Job Summary: Perform load planning and tracking duties for our rail yard operations.

Job Duties: Work with Customer Service and Equipment Control departments to determine priority of containers to be moved via rail.

Waybill containers to be moved via rail, ensuring correct routing and invoicing.

Closely track the location and ETA of railed containers.

Verify trips for rail containers are updated correctly in TruckMate, ensuring resources are accounted for and all parties are compensated correctly.

Perform ingate and outgate process at Phoenix Rail Ramp according to Union Pacific and company best practices.

Obtain certification to operate crane/lift machine as a back up operator.

Work with Dispatch Department and assist drivers to resolve issues.

Schedule: Monday Through Friday 8 AM to 5 PM Pay: $24 Hourly Requirements: 2 years minimum experience with intermodal cargo or rail operations is preferredMust have intermediate computer skills to navigate and update Truckmate database and Microsoft Office.

Must possess clear and concise verbal communication skills and be knowledgeable of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) regarding hours of service.

Being able to speak Spanish and English is preferred.Must be able to climb a ladder as needed for pin lock release on intermodal train cars.

Must be able to climb stairs as needed.
