Executive, Intern

Summary: The Executive Department Intern will report directly to the Chief of Staff & Executive Director providing direct support to Executive department functions.

The successful candidate will have a working knowledge Microsoft 365 suite programs as well as a demonstrated ability to successfully communicate with co-workers at all organizational levels, establish and meet deadlines, and participate in discussions.

Essential Functions: 1.

Support Executive Director, Chief Operating Officer, Chief of Staff, Government Relations, and any other Director/department as needed.

2.

Work on various administrative projects and assist in coordinating in-person employee meetings, with guidance and support from the Chief of Staff.

3.

Propose, create, and maintain measurement & monitoring methods for workflow processes and business results, such as using Microsoft Planner to track to-do items, manage agendas, assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor departmental progress.

4.

Communicate effectively & professionally with employees, constituents, and external contacts via email and phone.

5.

Schedule meetings and track responses from colleagues.

6.

Attend bi-weekly meetings with employees in person.

7.

Attend meetings as needed.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Working Conditions: General office environment.

Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking for up to 10% of the time.

The working environment is generally favorable.

Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.

Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available.
