Field Data Technician

GPI is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Field Data Technician to join our growing data collection and processing team in Pleasantville, NJ.

For more information, visit: www.gpinet.com Responsibilities: Install, monitor, and retrieve traffic-counting equipment on a weekly schedule.

Perform turning movement counts at intersections and other designated locations.

Collect, organize, and process accurate traffic-related field data.

Maintain, organize, and properly handle traffic counting equipment and field materials.

Follow established procedures, safety protocols, and project requirements while working in active roadway environments.

Communicate with supervisors about field conditions, equipment issues, scheduling, and data collection concerns.

Travel to assigned locations throughout Southern New Jersey and work effectively as part of an independent two-person field crew.

Typical schedule is 40-45 hours per week, generally Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-3:00 PM, with occasional overtime or non-standard hours based on project needs.

Qualifications: Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred 1-2 years of data collection, processing, or related experience preferred.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Valid driver's license in good standing Reliable transportation.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Dependable.

Ability to: Follow established procedures.

Work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Perform physical fieldwork requiring frequent bending, lifting, kneeling, standing, and walking.

Operate basic hand and power tools Work overtime or non-standard hours as needed.

Perform tasks independently and as part of a team with limited supervision.
