IT Security & Compliance Coordinator

The IT Securityand ComplianceCoordinatoris responsible fororganizing and managingthe documentation and processes required to ensure compliance withThe National Institute of Standards and Technology(NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)and all requirementsdefined by applicable regulations (e.g.HIPAA, FERPA, GLBA), contracts, or accreditationstandards.

Please Note this is a Salaried Hybrid Position that will require on-site attendance.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Works withorganizational andIT Leadership to create, implement, andmonitorsecurity compliancepolicies, procedures, andprocesses.Creates andmaintainsadministrative documentationandreportsrequiredtodemonstratecompliancewith applicable regulations, contracts, and accreditations.Educate staff, students, faculty, and residentsonsecurity proceduresand practices through multiple mediums.Collaborate with IT staff to implement new policies, procedures, or controls based oncurrent trends and new or upcomingrequirements.Support IT Leadership reviewing contracts and agreements fortechnical requirements and compliance with existing obligationsand requirements.Initiateperiodicinternal assessments of organizational compliance with existingobligations and requirements.Collaboratewithtechnical staff and system owners to remediate or mitigate gaps identified during audits.MaintainComplianceScoreCardstoprovideleadership insight into current compliance posture and gaps.Creates and manages documentation for incidentresponse.Act as liaison between WMed administrative teams and auditorsAll other duties asassigned.
