ECLLC Director - Headstart (KTTT)

Position: ECLLC Director Supervisor: Tribal Education Administrator Division: Tribal Education Administration Department: Tribal Education Administration Responsibilities: Under general direction, plans, develops, and provides direction and guidance on comprehensive, developmentally appropriate educational services program that is responsive to the unique education situations and challenges of Tribal students, children and their families.

Develops, and implements monitoring plans to ensure the program, meets KTTT and Tribal Education Division standards, Head Start Performance Standards, and/or Childcare center minimum standards.

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following: Responsible for the supervision of childcare and head start center management and program services and improvement.

Provide direct supervision to the Instructional Coach, Head Start Supervisor, Child Care Supervisor, Family Service Workers, Physical Education Coach, the Special Education Teaching staff, Health Services Specialist, and special education contractors as assigned.

Knowledge of theories and principals related to child growth and development, PK-12 education- specifically Head Start and CCDF program standards.

Works to improve the Education Leadership who directly and indirectly supervise all staff across centers to ensure teams are collaborating and coordinating services, and provides guidance and performance feedback and resources to all center/program staff.

Ensures and oversees Education Leadership to develop yearly program and center improvement plans that will guide center improvement, and ensure staff are providing inclusive programs to target all special populations.

Provide support and guidance to program management in the implementation of the Child Development Work Plans and ongoing monitoring for local implementation.

Knowledge and ability to implement and develop data driven instructional plans.

Curriculum Ability to develop and implement data driven monitoring, review, and assessment tracking systems to address the tracking and data collection needs as they relate to compliance and quality services.

Ability to guide progress and ensure success while adhering to the KTEA approval process.

Assist in the development of a unique framework that will meet the unique educational needs of the Kickapoo students (when applicable).

Awareness, and in-depth knowledge and ability to implement the Head Start Performance Standards, KTEA, and/ or Child Care Minimum Standards.

Collaborate directly with staff leadership team and curriculum director to develop, track, edit, update, and format local training, guidance and monitoring of curriculum implementation.

Oversees staff responsible to conduct at least one (1) face-to-face meeting with Lead Teachers a week.

Conduct at least two (2) teacher observations per center, per month and as frequent as necessary to support a high level of curriculum implementation.
