Scope:

The Director, Laboratory Services is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, management, and performance of the New Jersey Genomics Laboratory.

This role ensures safe, compliant, efficient, and customer-focused laboratory operations through effective management of personnel, workflows, quality systems, and operational performance.

The Director, Laboratory Services partners closely with, Quality, Medical and Scientific Leadership, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and other support functions to ensure testing services are delivered in accordance with established quality, turnaround time, productivity, and regulatory standards.

Job Summary:

The Director, Laboratory Services, is accountable for the daily operation of the NJ Genomics Laboratory, including operational performance, staffing, product quality, safety, productivity, and employee engagement.

This position provides direct leadership to laboratory managers, supervisors, and staff and ensures alignment with organizational goals and performance expectations.

The Director monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and serves as the primary on-site leader responsible for maintaining consistent execution, regulatory compliance, and a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
