Summary:

The Lab Supervisor provides daily guidance to lab personnel in direct support of their duties and responsibilities.

This position analyzes cement and other materials utilized or created during the cement manufacturing processes.

The position exercises direct supervision over all laboratory personnel at the plant.

What you'll be contributing:



* Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.


* Performs regular and special chemical analysis on samples of the following: cement, clinker, coal, kiln dust, raw mill, kiln feed, and other purchased or mined raw materials for process and quality control.


* Reviews results of chemical and physical tests performed and takes necessary actions to adjust the quality to meet established standards and plant quality and production objectives.


* Supervises and evaluates the job performance of laboratory personnel, including disciplinary action.


* Establishes, communicates, and assigns job responsibilities to plant laboratory employees


* Assists in purchasing various lab equipment and supplies for chemical testing.


* Provides constant feedback on the production process to ensure desired product characteristics.


* Conducts regular inspections of plant operations to determine probable causes of product quality fluctuations or to detect unusual conditions.


* Formulates mixed calculations or performs special computations for laboratory control measures.
