Summary:

The Process Engineer manages the entire cement manufacturing process.

This position analyzes the process and suggests ways to improve operations.

What you'll be contributing:



* Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.


* Analyzes the cement production process and implements changes for optimal operating conditions for fuel efficiency, electrical efficiency and production rate.


* Participates in the training of the control room operators on the proper ways of using plant equipment.


* Works closely with shift process teams to ensure mills and pyro lines are consistently operated at peak efficiency.


* Performs programming of the plant's programmable control systems and provides maintenance, documentation and improvements for computerized process systems.


* Performs performance testing and measurements on production equipment.


* Maintains equipment performance records including wear part life history.


* Provide technical support to the Production Department to achieve objectives of maximizing plant production of quality-controlled cement efficiently and cost-effectively.


* Optimizes process by testing, data gathering, sampling and in-house expertise to provide progressive solutions and enable continual improvement in the production process.


* Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.

To succeed in this position, you will need:



* 4 year/Bachelors degree in mechanical/chemical engineering or closely related field is required


* Minimum 2 years of experience in a mechanical/chemical engineering or closely related position


* Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.


* Proficient in analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy


* Ability to perform, organize and prioritize work independently


* Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills
