Programs Assistant in Ministry and Evangelism

Job Overview

The Ministry & Evangelism Program Assistant is a part-time, 15 hr/week position for 10 months of the year and 5 hr/week for 2 months of the year.

This role works under the direction of the Director and Programs Development Coordinator of Ministry & Evangelism and will coordinate annual office events, organize and track office fundraisers, and participate in special projects.

This position pays $18-$18.50/hr.

Duties and Responsibilities

Annual Events
1.

Print and collate material for Student Leadership Training and Mid-Year Retreat.
2.

Coordinate Student Leadership Training Breakfasts in August.
3.

Support day of needs for the Church and Off Campus Ministry Fair and Club and Ministry Fair.
4.

Invite and track participation in office events including:
+ Fairs
+ Leadership Training
+ Retreats
+ Banquets
5.

Order catering for Student Leadership Trainings throughout the year and facilitate set up and clean up.
6.

Transition student rosters from one year to another including 25Live, ID access, emailing lists, email access, Drive access, and printing access.
7.

Plan and execute details for the End of Year Banquet.

Fundraising
1.

Coordinate fall and spring Community Workdays, managing communications, organization, safety, and execution of the fundraiser.
2.

Manage two Finals Care Packages annually, including communication, ordering of supplies, organizing printed material, and facilitating packing.
3.

Track donations for corporate fundraisers and special projects in Little Green Light.
4.

Assist in various fundraising campaigns organized by the office.

Special Projects
1.

Manage initiatives for Ministry and Evangelism as they arise.
2.

Restructure and keep the website up to date.

Professional Qualifications
1.

One to two years of administrative experience
2.

Evidence of Christian character and commitment to upholding Wheaton's Community Covenant
3.

Clear communication skills
4.

Understanding how ministry involvement promotes whole person development in students
5.

Approachable and able to relate to students and staff
6.

This position requires a valid driver's license.
