System Chief Nursing Officer

Position: System Chief Nursing Officer Reports To: System Chief Executive Officer Location: Corporate Office, Johns Creek, GA Position Overview The System Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) serves as the senior nursing executive for Tenor Health Foundation and is responsible for establishing and leading the strategic direction of nursing practice, patient care, clinical quality, and nursing operations across the health system.

This executive partners closely with hospital CEOs, Chief Medical Officers, clinical leadership, and operational executives to ensure the delivery of safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care while advancing the organization's mission, quality outcomes, workforce engagement, and financial stewardship.

The System CNO provides system leadership for nursing standards, regulatory compliance, workforce planning, quality improvement, and professional practice.

This leader will create consistency across multiple hospitals while recognizing the unique operational needs of each facility, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities System Nursing Leadership Lead the system nursing strategy, aligning clinical operations with organizational goals.

Standardize nursing practice, care delivery, and evidence-based clinical standards across the health system.

Partner with executive, physician, and hospital leaders to drive quality, consistency, and operational excellence.

Clinical Quality & Regulatory Compliance Lead initiatives that improve patient safety, quality outcomes, patient experience, and clinical performance.

Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, state regulations, and other accreditation standards.

Support regulatory surveys, accreditation activities, and corrective action planning.

Nursing Operations Standardize nursing policies, staffing models, and operational best practices.

Monitor productivity, labor expenses, agency utilization, turnover, and workforce effectiveness.

Balance quality outcomes with operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility.

Collaboration & Organizational Leadership Partner with physicians, executives, Human Resources, and interdisciplinary teams to advance organizational priorities.

Serve on committees and promote a culture of collaboration, inclusion, and excellence.

Use clinical, operational, financial, and workforce data to support strategic decision-making.

Financial Stewardship Support system budgeting, workforce planning, and long-range financial strategies.

Improve productivity, optimize staffing, and manage nursing resources while maintaining exceptional patient care.
