Journeyman Electrician

The Journeyman Electrician position is active in a licensed program and assists with projects for the installation and repair of electrical power for motors, control panels and machines.

Essential Job Functions: Installation of electrical wiring for motors and controls.Leads a crew of mechanics wiring conveyor sections.Inspect, repair, or replace any Electrical safety hazard.Inventory electrical parts to be shipped to customer sites.Assist Panel build (internal) department with electrical installation and testing of control panels.Maintains safe wiring practices per National Electrical Code 70E and Control Panel construction per Underwriters Laboratory Code 508.Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications: 4-6 years of trade experience.Acceptance into State Licensed Journeyman program.Proficient with various software packages such as MS Office, AutoCAD, EPICOR or other ERP software.Ability to understand math calculations.Industrial and commercial experience preferred.Ability to lead electrical projects with up to 480vac, 3 phase a/c, wiring motors and machinery.Pneumatics and/or hydraulic experience.Ability to read blueprints, AutoCAD, interpret and modify electrical schematics.Ability to assist with electrical volt and amp meters, various hand tools Educational Requirements: High School Diploma or GED preferred Physical Requirements: Standing and sitting for extended periods of timeBending, lifting, twisting, crawling for extended periods of timeWork on the floor under equipmentAbility to move 75 +pounds Apprentice/JourneymanExposure to High/Low voltage environmentsExposure to extreme temperaturesLaddersVision must be 20/20 or corrected to allow for reading of prints and wire numbers Travel Requirements: Up to 75% Professional Certifications: Pursuing State Licensed Journeyman Core Principles: Unwavering Integrity We refuse to compromise our ethics and high professional standards in order to achieve desired outcomes.
