We are seeking an experienced and dependable Maintenance II Technician to join our Facilities Team.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and has experience across multiple areas of building maintenance.

As a Maintenance II Technician, you will help maintain the buildings, resident apartments, equipment, and grounds throughout our community.

You'll work both independently and alongside the Facilities Team to complete preventative maintenance, repairs, apartment renovations, and other projects while providing courteous and respectful service to our residents.

What You'll Do Complete general maintenance and repair requests throughout the community and resident apartments.Perform preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment.Troubleshoot and assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, fire and alarm systems, and other building equipment.Repair or replace items such as PTAC units, plumbing fixtures, water heaters, electrical fixtures, appliances, and other equipment as needed.Assist with apartment renovations and turnovers, including flooring removal, patching, painting, woodwork, plumbing and electrical fixtures, and moving furniture.Inspect equipment, gauges, and building systems and promptly report concerns requiring additional attention.Assist with groundskeeping and seasonal property maintenance.Participate in snow and ice removal, which may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, or remaining beyond a regularly scheduled shift.Participate in the Facilities Department's on-call rotation for evenings and weekends as assigned.Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in safe working condition.Follow all safety procedures, infection-control practices, and Pines Village policies.Provide friendly, respectful, and professional service to residents, visitors, and fellow team members.Assist with other Facilities projects and responsibilities as needed.

What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent preferred.35 years of maintenance experience preferred, ideally in senior living, long-term care, multifamily housing, apartment maintenance, or a similar environment.Working knowledge of several building maintenance areas, including: HVACPlumbingElectricalGeneral carpentryPaintingFlooring and general repairsGrounds and landscaping Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine when additional assistance or outside service is needed.Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt when unexpected maintenance needs arise.Basic computer skills.Strong communication skills and a resident-service mindset.Valid Indiana driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof ...
