Commissary Worker

Position Summary: Assist in preparation, packaging and storage of all commissary products to ensure production schedules are met accurately and timely.

Job Duties: Follow the Quality Dairy Company Code of ExcellenceFollow policies, procedures and GMPsSafely utilize the equipment used in each process, including product make up and packagingAssemble materials and equipment needed for daily production activitiesReview production sheet and/or receive instructions from Commissary Manager to determine variety and quantity of goods to produce using standard formulasPrepare various ingredients for finished productAssure portion control/weight measurements are followed to standardMeet daily production needs within allotted timeStore and date product in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilageAssure finished product is rotatedDetect damaged or unattractive products, defective supplies/equipment, and/or other unusual conditions and report to Commissary Manager for dispositionClean and/or sanitize and maintain work areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure safety and health regulations are upheldRemove trash, rinse and dry floor using water hose and squeegee dailyReport non-standard product to Commissary ManagerAssist with other assigned Bakery/Commissary functionsOffer improvement suggestions Relationships: Commissary Manager, Commissary Crew Leader Communicate problems, suggestions and questionsCommunicate production, waste and quality performanceReceive guidelines, company goalsReceive directions and instructionsResource for situations requiring a decisionNotify of any equipment/safety issues Essential Skills, Abilities and Physical Demands: Read and follow directionsRequired to follow all safety procedures and GMPsThorough knowledge of required equipment used in productionAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize time and meet quality expectationsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAble to move production equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, bend, twist, climb, lift and pull repetitivelyExposure to cold temperature (38 degrees) for entire shiftAbility to remain flexible in scheduling to cover weekends and holidaysMust be highly motivated, able to work independently and possess a strong desire to learn and improveAbility to monitor and/or maintain quality control standardsAbility to work with and through other people to accomplish production demands, adapt to changing circumstances, personalities and...
