LEGACY EARLY COLLEGE OVERVIEW Legacy Early College is a K4-12 public charter school that originated through the vision of businessman William Brown in 2009 with an unwavering focus on "To and Through College" at every grade level.
Legacy's model combines academics, nutrition, physical fitness, and mental health.
In addition to our college-driven academic standards, meals are made on site, scholars participate in PE every day, and Social-Emotional Literacy is integrated into the culture and curriculum.
We currently occupy the site of the historic Parker High School and the former Greenville County Fine Arts Center.

POSITION OVERVIEW The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance and repair tasks across school facilities, ensuring the smooth and safe operation of all buildings and equipment.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Abilities: Follows detailed instructions and procedures well.
Knowledge of general carpentry and repair, including hand and power tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Tasks: Perform general repairs (drywall, painting, doors, fixtures) without specialized technicians.
Inspect equipment for repairs and troubleshoot issues.
Plan repairs using blueprints or equipment manuals.
Routine maintenance of building systems and facilities upkeep.
Order supplies and materials for repairs.
Maintain and repair HVAC systems, diagnose faults, and perform warranty services.
Manage custodian timesheets and time-off requests.
Additional duties as assigned.
Technology: Approve timesheets using UKG Ready HRIS.
Google Suite.
Basic HVAC system operation and maintenance knowledge.
Knowledge: Ability to use measurement devices, and hand/power tools, and perform HVAC maintenance.
General carpentry and repair skills.
Skills: Equipment maintenance and repair.
Troubleshooting and critical thinking for error resolution.
Equipment selection for tasks.
Work Activities: Inspect equipment and materials for defects.
Handle and move materials using hands and arms.
Physical activities like climbing, lifting, and balancing.
Gather information from relevant sources.
Repair and maintain mechanical equipment.
Physical Demands: Manual dexterity and physical strength for handling tools and machinery.
Lift to 50 lbs.
with assistance for heavier items.
Stand on hard surfaces for extended periods (80-100% of the day).
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, reach, and walk.
Work on uneven or wet surfaces, and handle cleaning chemicals.
Participate in activities supporting Legacy Early College.
Experience and Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; related experience preferred.
Work Schedule This contracted position typically follows a Monday through Friday schedule.
