Concession Worker

Nature of Work This is unskilled work involving the preparation of meals and general cleaning for the concessions facilities located at Wears Farm Park and the Pigeon Forge Community Center.

Activities associated with the job include assisting customers by preparing and serving meals, operating a cash register and general cleaning of facility and utensils by ensuring that proper sanitary guidelines are followed.

Job performance is evaluated by the Lead Parks Concessions Worker and Athletics and Concessions Supervisor through review of the quality of meals prepared, knowledge of food preparation techniques and practices, ability to interact effectively with the public and co-workers, ability to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job and dependability in performing job related assignments.

Illustrative Examples of Work -Assists customers and prepares orders upon request.

-Operates cash registers, receives cash from customers and ensures the proper refund of change.

-Assists with cleaning the concession area and cooking surfaces, equipment and utensils.

-Performs general cleaning chores as needed in the restrooms at the Wears Farm Park when necessary.

-Ensures that proper sanitary standards are maintained in compliance with health department guidelines and existing health regulations.

-Performs related duties as required.
