Community Experience Coordinator
Description
The Community Experience Coordinator oversees the general operation of Community Day Services, ensuring effective service delivery and program management.
This role supervises staff, ensures compliance with training and documentation standards, and serves as a liaison with the community to promote advocacy and program development
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee the general operation of Community Day Services, ensuring effective service delivery and program management.
* Supervise staff by ensuring proper service execution, scheduling, monitoring community involvement, conducting staff evaluations, and implementing disciplinary actions as needed.
* Ensure staff attend required training and maintain proper documentation and in-service records.
* Participate in trainings in accordance with Alabama Department of Mental Health and agency standards.
* Ensure monthly documentation, including progress notes, are completed and submitted by the required deadline.
* Assist with annual habilitation meetings as needed.
* Review monthly progress notes and oversee client progress on training objectives.
* Ensure that Direct Support Professionals execute habilitation plan training objectives.
* Complete requisitions as necessary for individual program involvement.
* Assist Directors with program development as needed.
* Approve supply requisitions by program staff before forwarding to Directors.
* Serve as a liaison with the community, acting as a representative, client advocate, and agency advocate, including speaking engagements as appropriate.
* Assist with special duties and projects as assigned.
* Report program and individual progress to Directors.
* Conduct and attend staff meetings as necessary to ensure program delivery and development.
Qualifications
* Four-year degree in a human services field related to intellectual disabilities.
* Demonstrated expertise in supervision and administration.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
* Familiarity with documentation and reporting systems.
* Comfort with office equipment and scheduling tools.
Working Conditions
* Frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and using office equipment.
* Occasional sitting and lifting.
* Some duties may require the use of protective gloves.
