Plant Manager

This leader oversees the daily operations of our brick manufacturing facility, ensures efficient production, maintains a safe work environment, and manages personnel and resources.

US Brick has a current vacancy to join our diverse and dynamic company as Plant Manager in .

This role will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

What you will be doing: Manage and oversee all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous learning.Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and implement training programs to enhance employee skills.Ensure effective communication and collaboration between departmentsEnforce and promote a safe working environment, ensuring all safety protocols and regulations are followed.Oversee environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within the plant.Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as needed.Prepare and manage the plant's budget, ensuring cost control and financial performance targets are met.Analyze financial reports and production data to identify areas for cost savings and operational improvements.Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate reporting and forecasting.Ensure all products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.Implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures to minimize defects and rework.Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to resolve any quality-related issues.Lead and participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and other process improvement projects.Identify opportunities for innovation and implement best practices to improve plant performance.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

The required skills and education to be successful: Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

Equivalent experience and proficiency in manufacturing management considered.

Experience: Minimum of 57 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; brick, concrete, or heavy materials industry strongly preferred.Demonstrated experience in managing production operations, maintenance, safety, and quality control systems.Proven track record of driving efficiency improvements and managing P&L responsibilities.
