Director of ECommerce
Lead the Next Chapter of eCommerce at CSSI Chattanooga Shooting Supplies (CSSI) is looking for an experienced and strategic Director of eCommerce to lead our digital merchandising and product information teams and help drive the continued growth of our eCommerce business.
This is a highly visible leadership role for someone who understands the complete eCommerce product lifecyclefrom assortment strategy and product information to digital merchandising, customer experience, analytics, and conversion.
The Director of eCommerce will work closely with Purchasing, Marketing, Customer Experience, Analytics, and other key teams to identify opportunities, build effective merchandising strategies, and create a seamless digital shopping experience for our customers.

What Youll Do As Director of eCommerce, you will: Lead, develop, and manage our Digital Merchandising and Product Information teams, building a high-performing team focused on accuracy, innovation, and customer experience.Develop and execute a comprehensive annual eCommerce merchandising strategy designed to achieve revenue and gross margin objectives.Partner with Purchasing to identify sales opportunities based on product availability, market demand, product lifecycle, inventory levels, and category performance.Use eCommerce analytics, market observations, and customer behavior to provide insight into product assortment and anticipated demand.Create compelling digital merchandising strategies around new product launches, seasonal categories, special buys, promotions, and other key selling opportunities.Partner closely with Digital Marketing to determine the best channels and strategies for promoting merchandising opportunities.Develop merchandising experiences using website content, personalization, product recommendations, search, catalogs, customer data, and other digital touchpoints.Utilize A/B testing and eCommerce analytics to evaluate performance, improve conversion, and continuously optimize the customer journey.Develop and execute effective cross-sell and up-sell strategies in collaboration with Purchasing.Monitor competitor and industry activity and develop responsive merchandising strategies that capitalize on market opportunities.Partner with Customer Experience to recommend improvements to website functionality, navigation, search, product sorting, faceted navigation, and other features that influence conversion and retention.Develop and oversee workflows and standards for creating, enriching, maintaining, and auditing product information.Oversee the company's Product Information Management (PIM) system, including configuration, data governance, product enrichment, data quality, and business-team support.Establish standards for product naming conventions, attributes, taxonomy, product display,...
