Maintenance Technician Tuesday-Saturday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Base Pay: $22.00 - $32.50 Tuesday - Saturday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm JOB SUMMARY: Maintains and repairs a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment appliances; performs mechanical servicing tasks, such as greasing, oiling and replacing worn or defective parts; performs carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical necessary in making repairs to plumbing, furniture and buildings; installs and removes equipment; conducts inspections to determine needs for maintenance and repair work.
Performs any work necessary in the maintenance, repair or remodeling of buildings facilities; uses a variety of hand and power tools in accomplishing assigned work.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
• Correctly maintain areas in a safe and hazard free condition.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.) • Maintain plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Performs minor carpentry projects, hang shelves, pictures, repairs cabinets, etc.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.).
• Assembles new furniture, chairs, desks, etc., and makes certain they are functioning in a safe and effective condition.
• Picks up bio-hazard waste from satellite clinics and returns waste to main clinic for disposal.
• Empty PHI bins at all locations.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g., landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES · Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems.
· Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
· Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices.
· Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE · High school diploma or equivalent.
· Must possess a valid CA DL and meet requirements of SCHC Auto Insurance Policy · Three years of mechanical craft experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Work experience in a clinic or hospital.
