HR Assistant

HR Assistant Location: Auburn, IN Schedule: Full-time | In person Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized HR Assistant to support the Human Resources department with onboarding, orientation, employee records, recruiting administration, and general HR operations.

This position will also assist with ordering supplies, coordinating HR-related meetings, supporting employee transitions, and maintaining accurate information within HR systems.The ideal candidate is dependable, professional, comfortable handling confidential information, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

What Youll Do Assist with new-hire onboarding, orientation preparation, and related administrative tasks.Conduct internal audits of employee files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality.Maintain and organize employee records, personnel files, and HR documentation.Enter and update employee information in HRIS and other applicable systems.Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters, and completing administrative tasks.Assist employees with basic questions regarding benefits, policies, and procedures, escalating issues when appropriate.Collaborate with payroll to help ensure employee records and information remain accurate.Assist with employee termination processes, including system updates and required paperwork.Order office supplies, food, and other materials for HR and company events.Coordinate HR-related conference room reservations and ensure meeting spaces are clean, organized, and prepared.Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed.Travel occasionally between facilities, attend meetings, pick up supplies, and complete other work-related errands using company vehicles whenever possible.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED required.Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.At least one year of experience in HR administration, payroll, or a related field preferred.Previous experience with HRIS systems and general HR processes preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace required.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet deadlines.Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.Familiarity with employment laws and HR best practices is beneficial.Valid, unexpired drivers license required.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.Ability to occasionally stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workplace.Ability to properly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds.Ability to maintain proper hand hygiene.Ability to work effectively during periods of high stress or changing priorities.Occasional travel by vehicle is required.Occasional un...
