Managing Director, RMTA

Job Title: Managing Director, RMTA The Radiopharmaceutical Manufacturers & Theranostics Alliance (RMTA) is seeking an innovative Managing Director to lead this member-driven trade association alliance.

About RMTAThe Radiopharmaceutical Manufacturers & Theranostics Alliance (RMTA) is the leading association and collective voice for the radiopharmaceutical and contrast agent sector.

Members include developers of diagnostic and therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals, as well as manufacturers of isotopes, contrast agents, nuclear imaging technologies, and integrated theranostic platforms.

RMTA pursues policies that improve patient care through patient safety, product quality, and ensuring access to critical innovative diagnostics and therapies for patients suffering from cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, and other chronic and non-chronic health conditions.

RMTA is a division of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA).

The OpportunityThis role will be responsible for advancing RMTA's provide strategic priorities, strengthening member engagement, guiding committee work, operational, and serving as a visible external representative for the radiopharmaceutical and theranostics sector.

The Managing Director will lead the development and implementation of integrated strategies across government regulatory programs, federal and state level policy and advocacy aligned with RMTA's priorities.

The Managing Director will work closely with network members to inform the development and execution of these strategies to advance RMTA's influence and success.

Ensure deep understanding of member needs and leverage those insights to strengthen alliance's capacity and coordinate advocacy actions in support of regulatory and policy priorities.

Integrate stakeholder engagement and coalition building in support of RMTA's policy and advocacy priorities across the national organization, with members and with external stakeholders/partners.

This position reports to NEMA's Senior Vice President, Regulatory and Legal Affairs, and is based in Arlington, Virginia, allows for a hybrid work schedule, consideration may be given for flexibility in location.

Responsibilities: Lead the development and execution of integrated strategies that support RMTA's policy priorities including federal regulatory programs focused on protecting, increasing regulatory resources and funding focused on advanced diagnostics, therapeutics and adjacent technologies and promotion of federal and access policies.

Ensure that these efforts are aligned with RMTA's Strategic Initiative.

Coordinate collaboration across member committees, to leverage connections and relationships with lawmakers, federal agencies and the administration.

Also ensure they are responsive to the evolving political and policy landscape and informed by holistic policy analysis and assessment.
